Curl Command Generator
Generate cURL commands for HTTP API requests with our free online cURL generator. Select an HTTP method, enter your request URL, add headers, query parameters, authentication, and a request body, then generate a ready-to-copy cURL command.
What Is a cURL Generator?
A cURL generator converts HTTP request details into a cURL command that you can run from a terminal or command-line environment.
Instead of manually writing the cURL syntax, enter your request information into the tool and generate the command automatically.
The tool supports common HTTP methods, request headers, query parameters, authentication options, and request bodies.
How to Generate a cURL Command
Select the HTTP Method for your request.
Enter the Request URL.
Add any required Headers using the Header-Name: Header-Value format.
Enter Query Parameters using the name=value format.
Select an Authentication method if your API requires one.
Add the Request Body when needed.
Click Generate cURL.
Copy or download the generated command.
Supported HTTP Methods
The cURL Generator supports these HTTP methods:
GET — Retrieve data from an API endpoint.
POST — Send data to an API endpoint.
PUT — Update or replace a resource.
PATCH — Partially update a resource.
DELETE — Delete a resource.
HEAD — Request response headers without the response body.
OPTIONS — Request information about the communication options supported by an endpoint.
Select the method that matches the API request you want to make.
Example cURL Request
Input:
Method: GET
Request URL: https://api.example.com/users
Headers:
Content-Type: application/json
Accept: application/json
Query Parameter:
page=1
The generated command can look like:
curl "https://api.example.com/users?page=1"
Authentication: None
Request Body:
{
"email": "john.smith@example.com",
"name": "John Smith",
"role": "developer"
}
Output:
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-H 'Accept: application/json'
For a request containing headers and a JSON body, the generated command will include the corresponding cURL options automatically.
Important Note
The generated command is intended for common HTTP API requests. Review the command before running it, especially when it contains authentication credentials, bearer tokens, or other sensitive request data.
Avoid sharing generated commands publicly if they contain private API keys, passwords, access tokens, or other credentials.
